Privacy policy

Effective July 7, 2026 · Provenance Advisory Group Inc., Winnipeg, Manitoba

We advise businesses on being ready for scrutiny, so this policy is written to survive some: short, specific, and true.

What we collect, and why

The contact form. If you submit our contact form, we receive what you type: your name, company, email, phone number, your situation and province selections, and your message. We use it for exactly one purpose — responding to your inquiry and, if you engage us, serving you. Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, Inc. (our website host, based in the United States), and may therefore be stored on servers outside Canada.

The free Exit Readiness Score. The score tool runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and your score are never transmitted to us or to anyone else — close the page and they're gone.

Calls and email. If you call or email us, we keep normal business records of the correspondence.

Server logs. Like nearly every website, our host (Netlify) keeps standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — used for security and operations.

What we don't do

This site runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no marketing cookies. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with anyone for marketing. We do not send newsletters you didn't ask for. The only browser storage we use is a single session flag that remembers you dismissed our call popup — it never leaves your device and clears when you close your browser.

Client confidentiality

If you become a client, the documents and financial information you share with us are held in confidence, used only for your engagement, disclosed to no one without your written consent (except where the law requires), and returned or destroyed at your request when the engagement ends. Our engagement letters state this contractually.

Retention, access and correction

We keep inquiry records only as long as useful for responding to you, and client records as long as professional and legal obligations require. You may ask at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email bkobe@provenanceadvisory.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.

Questions or complaints

Privacy questions go to Benjamin Kobe at bkobe@provenanceadvisory.ca or +1 (204) 399-3054. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If we change this policy, the new version will appear here with a new effective date.
